The Event: Weekly Family Dinner

  1. Ha, I really enjoy the 3rd picture of the little girl at the dinner table. It's fantastic! The fact that there is NO food yet on the table and her anxious leaning expression seems to show her hunger. With that being said she also appears to be eating her hand and with her other hand grasping and empty bowl as to ask anyone for some food to put in it. Ha, it's a cool picture...

  2. I like both your pictures of the kids...It doesn't look like either of them knew they were having their picture taken and they both have funny poses. I think that, of the one of the boy, the blurred head in the foreground is important and helps you focus in on him. The one of the girl made me laugh and the wallpaper taking up most of the space in the background makes you notice her even more.

  3. I really enjoy the story that these pictures tell. I like how it goes from showing the party happening to the empty table at the end. The different expressions on the people's faces also tell a story in each individual photo.

  4. I really like these pictures. As soon as I saw the first one I got the sense of a happy family meal. The atmosphere and emotion of the people there is very easy to read on their faces. I also lied how in the first image, the woman is blurred but the focus is on the boy. The framing worked well.

  6. I think the first one is fantastic. The lighting from above makes it seem as though the boy works at a Chinese take out a restaurant. The disposable pan just adds to the conception that where is doesn't seem permanent. The way the woman is moving and he isn't, as well as the pose he's in, makes he seem very contemplative and completely detached from the moment.
